Montessori Summer Discovery
For ages 3 to 6
June 29 - August 7
A Summer Your Child Can Feel Proud Of
For Montessori-curious families, summer is the perfect way to experience our school from the inside, giving children time to fall in love with the classroom, the teachers, and the rhythm of the day before deciding whether to stay for the full school year.
From the first days, children ages 3 to 6 begin to feel capable and confident. They strengthen their early literacy, math, and coordination. They practice problem-solving, social confidence, and care for others - skills that help them feel ready for kindergarten and ready for a lifetime of learning.
Montessori Mornings
Each morning, children step into a calm classroom alive with purposeful work. One child may be arranging flowers. Another may be tracing letters, building with math materials, or receiving an individual lesson from a teacher. In these small, real moments, children build independence, focus, and confidence.
Afternoons Rooted in Nature
In a city where dedicated outdoor space for young children can be hard to find, our garden, playground, and sandbox become part of the magic of the day. Children have room to run, dig, climb, and care for living things, all while feeling the joy of being fully outside.
Discovery That Deepens
Children do not just sample activities. They return to nature, art, music, movement, practical life, language, math, and cultural exploration with time to go deeper. Each experience builds on the last, helping children grow more curious, more capable, and more connected to the world around them.
A Lasting Head Start
Children learn the rhythm of a real classroom, build trust with teachers, and practice moving through the day with confidence and independence. Whether they continue with us for a full academic year, or take their next step elsewhere, they leave more capable, more settled, and more ready for what comes next.
A summer where children feel the joy of doing something real. They pour, plant, build, paint, sing, move, explore, and proudly say, “I did it myself.”
Daily Schedule
Our summer days follow a calm, predictable rhythm. Children begin with the Montessori work period, then move into outdoor play, lunch, rest, and afternoon enrichment outdoors. The structure gives children time to settle deeply, build independence, and move through the day with confidence.

FAQ
-
Montessori Summer Discovery is open to children ages 3 to 6. No prior Montessori experience is required. It's a good fit for families who want their child to experience a real Montessori classroom, as well as families whose children are already comfortable in a Montessori environment and want to keep the rhythm going through summer.
-
Our Toddler Program (ages 2-3) runs year-round, including through the summer months. If your child is under 3, schedule a tour or reach out to info@montessorichildrenscenter.org to connect with our team.
-
Most children spend the first few days adjusting to a new environment. By the second week, they have found their footing. A single week does not give a child enough time to settle in and benefit fully from the program.
-
June 29 through August 7. Enrollment is available in 2-week, 4-week, or 6-week blocks. The 6-week option covers the full program.
-
We offer two daily schedules. The Short Day runs 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The Full Day runs 8:00 AM to 5:15 PM.
-
Mornings are anchored in Montessori work. Children step into the classroom, settle in, and choose purposeful hands-on activities at their own pace, with individual guidance from teachers. Afternoons shift outdoors. Children have time in our garden, on the playground, and in the sandbox, along with other activities to explore. The day is unhurried and consistent.
-
Pack a lunch from home each day. We provide morning and afternoon snacks. Children should also bring a water bottle, a change of clothes, and sunscreen.
-
Families enrolling for 2 weeks pay the full tuition at registration. Families enrolling for 4 or 6 weeks pay a 50% non-refundable deposit at registration, with the remaining balance due June 22.
-
A deposit equal to two weeks of tuition is required for all sessions upon registration and is non-refundable. Cancellations received more than 30 days before your session start date are eligible for a refund of any amount paid beyond your deposit, less a $150 administrative fee. Cancellations received 30 days or fewer before the session start date are non-refundable. If cancellation is received 30 days or fewer before the session start date and the remaining balance has not yet been paid, the deposit is forfeited and no further payment is owed. No refunds are issued for missed days or early departure. Exceptions may be considered for documented medical emergencies at the discretion of the school director.
-
No. The summer program is open to all eligible families, including those who are new to MCC.
-
Children enrolled for the full academic year attend the summer program as part of their enrollment. No separate summer registration or additional tuition is required. They simply come to school.escription
-
Absolutely! Summer gives children time to fall in love with the classroom, the teachers, and the rhythm of the day before deciding whether to continue for the year-round program. If you are interested in our year-round program, you can schedule a tour or reach out to info@montessorichildrenscenter.org.
-
Families with children ages 3 to 6 who attend the summer program and enroll for the school year by July 31 may apply 25% of their summer tuition, up to $1,000, toward their school-year enrollment deposit.
-
Both are good options, and the right choice depends on what your family needs.
The summer program is a full Montessori experience with the same teachers, classrooms, and daily rhythm as our academic year. Some families use it as a first chapter with MCC before committing to the school year.
That said, full-year monthly tuition is lower than our summer rate. And for families who start with summer and decide to continue, we make that transition worthwhile: enroll for the school year by July 31 and you can apply 25% of your summer tuition, up to $1,000, toward your enrollment deposit.
If you would like to talk through which option fits your family best, you can schedule a tour or reach out to info@montessorichildrenscenter.org.
